Important Information Regarding Mulhern Gas’ COVID-19 Response

Mulhern Gas is currently monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) for the latest information on the Coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak. For the health and safety of our customers and employees, Mulhern Gas Company has issued the following policy changes to be in force during the course of this outbreak and subsequent emergency declaration.

Mulhern Gas has asked all employees not come to work if they feel sick or if anyone in their household has a fever. We have asked employees to take extra precautions when coming into contact with our customers in their homes and businesses. They have been instructed to keep a safe distance from customers whenever possible and to wear proper protective gear when necessary.

To our customers, we respectfully ask that you help our employees by maintaining a safe distance (over 6’). When scheduling a service call, please make our office staff aware if any of the following are true:

  1. Have you traveled to a country for which the CDC has issued a Level 2 or 3 travel designation within the last 14 days?
  2. Have you had contact with any Persons Under Investigation (PUI) for COVID-19 within the last 14 days, OR with anyone with known COVID-19?
  3. Do you have any symptoms of a respiratory infection (i.e., cough, sore throat, fever, or shortness of breath)?

In the event you do not want to be at home during a service call, arrangements can be made for you to leave a key.

DELIVERY

Regular deliveries will continue largely unimpeded during the course of this emergency and there will be no interruptions in service.

SERVICE

Emergency Service Calls (i.e., no heat, no hot water, gas odor, etc.) will be dispatched as usual following the provisions mentioned above.

Non-Emergency Service Calls & Installations (i.e., gas lines, appliance service, cleanings, etc.) will be scheduled on a continuing but limited basis. Please call the office for available dates. We sincerely apologize for any delay or inconvenience.

OFFICE

Our office will remain open during the duration of the emergency for employees only. Unfortunately, we have closed the office and plant grounds to walk-in traffic. We encourage payments be made via mail or by phone with a credit card. If you must pay in person or need to access the office for whatever reason, please call ahead to make arrangements.

All of us at Mulhern Gas, sincerely thank you for your patience and cooperation during these trying times. Please rest assured that we will do everything in our power to give you the same high level of quality service we have been delivering for the last 100 years. God Bless and Be Safe.
